It really was. Highly recommended.

Excellent. I have two cats curled up on my shoulders, and I'm noping out with Star Trek.
I think I'm going to end up with a house full of craft projects pretty soon -- working on craft stuff seems to be the best way for me to stem off an anxiety attack at the moment. I'm learning how to do fancy lettering now.
Best wishes for your father, Sail. I'm sorry.
msbelle, I'm sorry about your kitty, too.
~ma for everyone, times are rough.
As usual I'm with Steph, I don't know anyone who voted for Trump, but my FB and Twitter feeds are full of ppl processing their rage and grief, and I get sucked into it and I don't want to be; my own feelings are all I can process right now. I'm dealing with anxiety by turning off the news and shutting down the computer, and strangely I'm finding there are more hours in the day than there used to be. Today I slept almost all day, without guilt, went to the grocery, made myself a grilled cheese sandwich, and caught up on Supergirl, which I'm enjoying very much. So I managed to forget the world for a day, and that was a relief.
I don't know any Trump voters, but I do see a fair amount of "If only we had run Sanders!" and it's almost as painful.
That makes me feel weak and shitty, but it's all I can do right now.
Whereas I feel weak and shitty because I can't make myself step away from Twitter and all the analysis, outrage, and grief, and, like, read a book or something.
I think we all have our coping strategies, and mine happens to be wallowing in my anger more than is probably good for me...
I know my uncle did. Possibly a few cousins. I'm pretty sure a lot of my Dad's generation did.
Haven't seen many posts because either they aren't posting, have blocked me or I unfollowed them.
Yeah, there were a few folks wandering around today wearing Sanders gear and I was seriously suspicious. Because I too have seen too many "screw Hillary and the dems sanders would've won" which I don't believe but also isn't exactly helpful (I mean, if you want to somehow reform the primary game go crazy but that's also not what they're doing)
Sorry to hear about your dad, SailAweigh. I hope they can keep him comfortable.
Sorry to hear about the kitty, too, msbelle.
My husband is spewing all kinds of last minute vitriol and my daughter chose this weekend to get in touch with her anger over the divorce. I get the Most Hated award in my house his weekend. I'm fighting my natural instinct to just be dissociative. I'm doing what is best even if I'm hated in the short term. Trying to breathe.
Strength to you, Callaluna.
