Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I came in to the office today because I figured I'd get next to nothing done at home. I am the only person in my department, and none of my current pile of work is terribly brain-engaging or deadline-ish, so I find I'm getting almost as little done here. But without the cat-induced typos.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Yay! Congrats!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Yay, house!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

You know that knock-knock joke about the interrupting cow? That is my mother-in-law, except it's not a joke.

Oh, good, now the cousin who was supposed to arrive tomorrow, the day we leave, might actually be arriving today? Which will throw stuff into chaos?

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Yay house!

We spent all day tromping about Paris, including a food tour, jewelry shopping, the Picasso Museum, Monmartre, and a mediocre (for Paris) meal at a random mediocre brasserie, because we simply couldn't find the one we were looking for.

Still, my phone says we got 19,000 steps today. Woot!

Got caught out in the rain tonight, but Paris has been lovely.

Dana is making me grateful for my exceedingly calm quiet holiday. Also, love Matt's response on the kids.

I expect my kids will make me a grandmother some day, but 100% if they don't choose to have kids I am totally fine with it. My siblings adore their grandkids, and that is delightful for them, but I really have no preference in the matter. I would prefer that they are both married some day because I like being married and would feel good about them being coupled. #1 claims marriage is a never and that is his decision to make. I sincerely do not understand why parents think they get to make those kind of decisions. Good grief, I have to make enough decisions for myself I don't want to make them for other adults!
