Timelies all!
Back from Florida, and sorry to hear about Ouise.
Well, that was a trip. While using the airport's wi-fi, I got some sort of pop-up on my browser that won't go away. (There's no wi-fi at my folks, so I wasn't going to use the iPad for that, but I need to get that fixed all the same) Mr. S was in terrible twos mode most of the time, getting into everything(and breaking a few things) and taking forever to go to sleep. We're glad to be home, where at least we can put him in a separate room, even if he doesn't nap. My dad is not the most patient person, so that added to the stress. Sigh...
Anyone and everyone is invited to come be with me any Christmas if you will stay up late on the eve being giddy, get up early on the morn and do all the Christmas things with me.
I am in for late night and early morning!
Sorry Mr. S was such a boo. It is definitely more exhausting with toddlers.
Msbelle, when we have our retirement community I'm happy to cover the late night if someone else will take the early morning.
Same here. I will stay up as late as you want being giddy, but please no mornings.
Christmas here is low-key and kind of weird. Pete and I didn't really do presents, because our plan is to get all of our art finally framed. We were going to go to my Dad's today, but snow last night thwarted that plan. (Snow! in Seattle! On Christmas!)
So after I get dressed, we're going out in the very snowy backyard. If my crows show up, I'll give them snacks.
I'm better with the morning shift at the Buffista retirement community.
Taking a break from opening presents for early dinner.
I'm quite pleased with my gifts this year.
Despite having a meltdown last night and crying a few times this morning Christmas good.
I haven't been sleeping well and wasn't able to get things I wanted done for various reasons and so I've been over tired and achey and stressed.
But M over, it was a surprise and really nice. He finally met the rest of my family. Everyone had a nice lunch. I took a quick nap and now I'm not sure what I'm going to do but not stress about anything.
Help, we've reached the end of movies that husband and his parents can agree on so instead it's just endless bickering aaaaah.
Also, his mother has mentioned twice today about how she was screwed out of grandchildren, more in a joking way, but STILL. I wish I drank wine.
"Oh, we intend to have kids once you're gone!"
Very quiet Christmas here, but cozy and nice, for all that. I don't remember what we paid for the fireplace dvd, but just for today, it earned its price. So lovely reading and sipping hot cider with the flames crackling away in the corner.
Lovely times for all my Buffistas, as long as your holidays last.
