A year and a half ago, I could have eviscerated him with my thoughts. Now I can barely hurt his feelings. Things used to be so much simpler.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Heal up, Gizmo!

My 91-year-old grandmother decided to buy herself a new laptop this week, so my dad and I have been trying to get her all set up. She now has bookmarks to her email accounts and ancestry.com and we found solitare so I think the basic setup is done.

I am looking forward to seeing my sister and BIL but not especially my parents. And they get offended and yell at me that I'm an ungrateful child they should disown and then I am like "yeah, that really makes me feel loved and grateful and wanting to come back here!"

Plan for today has so far involved dishes, six loads of laundry, and reading in my pajamas. But I think my plan is once this last load is done in the washer I will shower, and Putin real clothes, and go to the store and then make cookies. And somewhere in there finish cleaning my room and pack, before going to dinner. Um.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, meara.

I should be cleaning the bathroom or something, but am not. Instead I feel ready for bed!

Our wings are not tired.

DH is making cookies. I may go shopping around 10 tonight thinking it will be quieter out there?? Either that or super early in the morning.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I am in the final stage of packing, and I was tempted to go to the new Mexican place around the corner for dinner, but I just found some leftover Thanksgiving dinner in the freezer, complete with gravy and stuffing, so I think I'll just have that for dinner.

Must vacuum, file, make up the futon in the guest room, and re-check my packing.

Oh, and check-in for our flight tomorrow! Eeee!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Bon voyage, Consuela!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Mac has had his license less than a week and no real problems, but he has been gone from home for more than 24 hours. which? no. not cool. I approved a sleepover last night, but then he has been incommunicado since then. His phone died and rather than come home and stay, he came home grabbed his charger, did not text me and went to another friend's house I never said yes to. nope, no no. he has been summoned home. I have a Christmas party to go to and he can get his happy ass home.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Bon Voyage, Consuella!

brillig

I'm watching The Mrs. Bradley Mysteries, with the glorious Diana Rigg as Mrs. Bradley. It's set in 1929 England, so it's fun to compare it to Phryne Fisher. It's kind of odd, because Mrs. Bradley addresses the camera regularly.

edit: this is cool, she's actually a recognized and respected investigator and criminologist.

And David Tennant as a guest star!
