And Kaylee, what the hell's goin' on in the engine room? Were there monkeys? Some terrifying space monkeys maybe got loose?

Thanks y'all. I had a feeling that the problem was the same as I had with my left foot, but was really hoping I'd just need a cortisone shot or something simpler. Having it confirmed spun me and I didn't really ask for ideas to get from here to mid-Feb foot pain wise. I had asked about a cortisone shot now but he said if he did that he wouldn't operate for 3 months.

Le sigh. I slept like crap last night. I took today off to work on school work, 3 papers and 2 discussions due by midnight Sunday. If you see me here or on FB, hopefully I'm just taking a break after completing an assignment before diving into the next one.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I am never pan-frying cheap pork chops without brining them in apple cider overnight again. 2nd time I've done it and the first time wasn't a fluke. So tender! Served with sauteed apples and onions, and perfectly roasted garlic and thyme potatoes, they were a huge hit.

We ate, then watched 2 comedies last night. Kiddo hadn't seen Zombieland; loved it. Was told by the kiddo my brownies were the best he's had. *buffs nails on shirt front*

House is clean. Didn't even have to do emergency house cleaning before kiddo arrived this year.

Laundry under control.

All Xmas presents bought with 2 weeks to spare.

Depression under control. Anxiety managable.

Pets happy. Kiddo loves high school. D loves new job.

2 years sober Jan 31st. Weight holding steady at a happy place for 8 months.

Baking up a holiday storm.

Only real worries are money-based (student loans) and politics. Which are real worries, but not being stressed about all the other stuff makes addressing those concerns in 2018 more managable.

I started feeling more contentment (very nice!) at the beginning of 2017, and concerns notwithstanding, I am leaving 2017 able to experience feelings of genuine happiness.

It's been a long time since I felt like this.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's been a long time since I felt like this.

Awww, that's great.

Excellent news, Matt! Well deserved.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good to read, Strix!

Our wings are not tired.

SuziQ, I am so sorry about the foot issues. It has been a few years now since I had foot surgery and remember well what a lot of no fun it was. I hope that your pile of projects can distract you from the discomfort.

Strix! Such a delight to read that update. Your contentment makes me smile. It was a long hard road.
