Fie on being productive before vacation, Consuela. Fie I say! (Ha, typed those right, I guess the coffee is kicking in)

I am at a coffee shop trying to be productive. It's mostly sort of working—I had to leave the bagel place (Montreal-style, which makes me think of ita) because their WiFi kept glitching.

I only listen to the radio when my clock radio comes on in the morning. Good lord, the deluge of Christmas ads! Everything can be a gift idea! Oil changes! Jewelry! Insurance! And don't forget the sick kids! I'm so glad I found a way to play my music library in the car.

ION, while perfecting my chicken alfredo casserole, I discovered the mythical land of Too Much Cheese. I didn't think it existed, but it does. Fortunately I retraced my steps to the place of Balanced Flavor and Not a Gloopy Mess.

I just had the last meeting of the year. Tomorrow I work from home, and then I'll be allegedly off work until 1/2/18.

A project of mine just had a soft launch today, though, and while someone else is nominally looking after it while I'm off, I'll probably find myself checking in occasionally anyway. But not because it's expected—I'm just curious about how it'll go.

I think I'm out of fires to put out, and still have a day and a half of work this week. I guess that's a good thing, but I'm afraid it will mean lots of loafing and not that much accomplished.

Today's my last day before vacation. I finished the big thing I had to do and immediately ran out of any motivation.
