Natter 75: More Than a Million Natters Served
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
That's super clever, Matt, tho my nephew would be into the cartography macguffin.
Even better, I found out Hobby Lobby has an extremely frou-frou version that looks like a bird-watching scrapbook and I can get 40% off with a coupon. Now I know where my first stop after work is tomorrow!
I thought I didn't have too many presents to fit in my luggage. I even shipped larger items to my parents' house, but even so, I'm playing luggage tetris.

Noice!
Waiting for the bus, I realize I have forgotten my water bottle. I do have a tire pressure gauge in my pocket, though. So I have that going for me.
I have boarded my flight to Detroit. I got to go through the metal detector this time, but TSA did a secondary screening on my carry-on so they could swab my chocolate. I don't even know.
Props to everyone working at the airport today. That was a special hell.
Oh, airports. My nephew was one of the lucky ones to spend 4-5 hours stuck on a plane on the tarmac at Atlanta last night. His mother was quick out of the gate to reserve him a hotel room, so he did have a good bed to go to once he was actually allowed off the plane, and he has enough status on Delta to have a 1st class seat to his destination today.
I just spent nearly 3 hours wrapping presents, so I'm in quite the holiday mood. A bad one, that is.
Oh Sparky I read about that and it sounded like such a nightmare!!
I have never been so glad to not be traveling. The accounts I read made it seem like passengers were generally good about keeping their cool, but it's a lousy situation to be in whether you were on a plane or in the terminal.
I'm headed to Worcester tomorrow, but in the car. I'm hoping the traffic won't be bad yet.
I can report that Detroit Metro is much less like a Hellmouth.
I know someone who was trying to get from Buffalo to Baltimore yesterday and ended up being routed through Orlando, I assume as a byproduct of all that mess.
