I did manage to enjoy our anniversary celebration last night, even though I felt guilty about it. The prosecco helped.

Spidra, those are great, thanks. I'm compiling a resistance-resources list for one of my regular linkspams, I'll include those. I'm also on MetaFilter, like a couple of other Buffistas, and Jessamyn West is a National Treasure.
And thanks to that, I have just subscribed to my first newsletter.
I am trying to make up for spending the entire day yesterday watching Jane the Virgin, by being productive today. I've already planted garlic and cleaned the oven. I need to ice my knee and return some winter boots to the store, and shop for something that will work. I really just want another pair of the ones I have, which have been good boots for 6 years.
Also Jane the Virgin is so great. There aren't any networks carrying it here, except for a streaming service that's shutting down. Fortunately, I can use a VPN to watch it on the CW site.
Jane the Virgin is so great!
So I realized that the Durrells in Corfu is basically the only show I'm watching with an all-white cast. (There may be something I'm not thinking of.) Which kind of makes me want to not bother watching the Pamela Adlon show I've been meaning to catch up on? But at least she's a woman, right?

I went for a walk and put my garden to bed for the winter. Now the rest of the day will be spent baking and reading.
Over 30 years of waking up and putting on my glasses before I even get out of bed is a hard habit to break. My vision is great, my eye isn't scratchy feeling anymore. Only downside at the moment is 2 week of no eye makeup. Even on days when I don't really put in makeup, I at least put in eye liner...but will have to forego that for the next bit.
I found out this morning that my brother voted for Gary Johnson. I wanted to scream at him, but knew it wouldn't do any good. He's solidly convinced he can do no wrong, even if you explain things precisely. He's solidly convinced the country is going to hell anyway so it doesn't matter who's in charge. I've got enough to worry about with Dad, so I have to spend spoons where I need them most.
Oh, Sail. No, you don't have to address cluesticking your brother now. I'm sorry it's on your plate at all. So much Dad~ma.
My brother says he voted for the Constitutional candidate, whoever that was in Florida. IOW, I feel your swing state pain.
Continuing the dad~ma.
Also, to post a positive thing a day - Hil was born this day! True story, I did the math.
(yes, I have been doing birthdays on FB more in recent years, but I also want to be here more and there less, so...)
