Aww. I'm sorry Consuela. You deserve to have an awesome birthday. But it's tough. I hope the trip is amazing.
Msbelle, what sort of thing do you normally do for Gotcha a day?
I have taken night time cold medication and don't care that it's 6pm. I want to be knocked out. Sadly I doubt I'll feel better tomorrow, since today was really the first day I felt sick.
Sorry you're down, Consuela. I hope the coming year is lots better.
We usually just go out to dinner somewhere of his choice, or I get him from school for lunch. Sometimes Ethiopian. Just lots of loving on him that day and "remember when" stories to spark his memories.
I'm watching my Miss Fisher DVDs, and boy, the resolution difference between the disks and Netflix is amazing. I'm curious to see if anything's been edited out. Some scene cuts always struck me as a little odd.
Aww, I can see that feeling big, msbelle. Both DH & I forgot our anniversary one year because we were just too overwhelmed with whatever awful was going on in our lives. We decided to just celebrate it later.
Today has involved schoolwork. I just had a small paper and three discussion question responses. The paper has taken F-O-R-E-V-E-R, mainly due to finding resources that addressed the subject. The paper requirements were worded very narrowly which actually made searching for references challenging. I've got it mostly written, just need to do the intro/conclusion paragraphs. Then one last discussion question response and I'm done.
For now. Tomorrow is the start of a class that will overlap the end of my current class and the beginning of my next class. I had planned to be ahead on assignments, not getting them in under the wire.
Well, Happy Birthday to you, Consuela. May the snacks be delightful and Paris not frightful.
Thank you, everyone.
Things got better: we had tasty pizza and brownies with ice cream and caramel sauce, and drank some good wine. And I got some nice prezzies.
It's still a crappy year, but things could be worse.
Glad your birthday got better!
msbelle, I have no actually idea, but at this point in E's life, it seems fair to say, "Guess what
we both
forgot the other day!"
Consuela, I'm glad your birthday got better. You certainly deserve to be celebrated as well as to celebrate. Happy belated borthday!
