Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Aww, I can see that feeling big, msbelle. Both DH & I forgot our anniversary one year because we were just too overwhelmed with whatever awful was going on in our lives. We decided to just celebrate it later.

Today has involved schoolwork. I just had a small paper and three discussion question responses. The paper has taken F-O-R-E-V-E-R, mainly due to finding resources that addressed the subject. The paper requirements were worded very narrowly which actually made searching for references challenging. I've got it mostly written, just need to do the intro/conclusion paragraphs. Then one last discussion question response and I'm done.

For now. Tomorrow is the start of a class that will overlap the end of my current class and the beginning of my next class. I had planned to be ahead on assignments, not getting them in under the wire.

Herding cats for fun

Well, Happy Birthday to you, Consuela. May the snacks be delightful and Paris not frightful.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Thank you, everyone.

Things got better: we had tasty pizza and brownies with ice cream and caramel sauce, and drank some good wine. And I got some nice prezzies.

It's still a crappy year, but things could be worse.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Glad your birthday got better!

msbelle, I have no actually idea, but at this point in E's life, it seems fair to say, "Guess what we both forgot the other day!"

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Consuela, I'm glad your birthday got better. You certainly deserve to be celebrated as well as to celebrate. Happy belated borthday!

Ann, that's a ferret.

Belated Happy Birthday, Consuela.

Saturday's snowstorm was kind of a bust in DC. Depending on which forecast you trusted, we were told to expect anywhere from 1 to 5 inches. We actually got about an inch (to be generous) on the grass, maybe a couple of inches on the cars, and wet roads that froze when the temperature dropped Saturday night.

On the plus side, it was very pretty. Also, enough to keep people from going out but not enough to close anything. So, fewer crowds for those of us that did go out.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I brought it up to him last night and I am taking him and his friends lunch today.

He was super huffy last night which is so funny because he barely spoke to me all weekend ( which meara can attest to). He is in a current pattern of mostly good behavior and increasing affection, but only when no one is around. If anyone is around he is silent moody boy.

He wouldn't want to seem uncool by liking you. Even in front of your friends!

I am def sick today. But have training I have to do. And my stupid printer is not working so I can't do the "prework" required for the training. Argh.
