All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I think he was using the staff in real space instead of moving little people and chairs around on the model. We were merely bodies. It seemed like he was trying to figure out staging for a scene, probably for scenic and costume reasons. I'm sure this was a time saver for him, but not so efficient for the organization as a whole. The part I didn't understand was why the improv was necessary. We went through 3 topics in our improv. The first was a riff on "booze, women, and movies", the second involved the speaker's Chicago born & raised children's obligation to like hot dogs, and the third was mostly just complaining about the CTA red line.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Huh.

Our wings are not tired.

Looking at fire and evacuation maps is unsettling, to understate. Hoping for a turn in the weather that involves winds dying and maybe some rain. The firefighters, the residents, the animals, ugh, my heart goes out to all.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh wow. I didn't read the article, but I love that all of the people got the same kind of stark glamour shots.

Yes, good choices in the photography

It is a lengthy article that I am reading on and off between work distractions, but it is comprehensive in its inclusion of a wide variety of industries and areas of life. eat: and including the anonymous because it is really not possible for some.

So, I looked at rentals in my general area and what I can afford is literally a garage that was listed under studios (conveniently close to work, though). Anything with a bathroom and kitchen would costly me just about as big a chunk of my paycheck as my mortgage, so I can drop the idea that selling my house and renting would be smarter. Second job will get serious consideration after the Outlet Sale is done.

Just getting that out of my brain.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Today at work I was asked (along with about 40 office staff) to essentially improve a rowdy town hall scene. We were even assigned to be either for or against the speaker. That may be the most absurd thing I've ever known of a director to do in preparation for a design meeting.

Wait- he asked the non-acting theatrical staff to improv! I probably would have left. I left my theater honor society induction rather than improv.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I have to get my teeth cleaned today (in less than an hour), and I haven't been flossing enough. I am braced for the lecture. (Why is it so damn hard for me to floss? Get it together, Beckmeyer.)

Unrelatedly, we are seeing Puddles Pity Party tonight for the second time this year, since his post-AGT tour brought him back through Cincinnati. SO EXCITE.
