meara, my friend and I did something similar when we traveled in China way back when, only our split was that she bought all the stuff that was purchased in local money and I bought all the things that needed international exchange money. In the end of our trip we calculated it out and figured out that one of us owed the other about $200 or so and we paid it. I can't even remember now who paid who. It was no big deal.
Also it feeds a bit of spiraling of me seeing everything that needs to be done and internally freaking out at doing so little of the real stuff that needs doing.
Holy moly this is so me
Yeah, I think a big part is like, if I was going to be super picky about amounts less than $20 I should've kept more careful track?? But $20 here and $30 there also adds up? I'm hoping she will be like "yes, I paid for x y and z also so here's the numbers"
Found out we had a shooting in the alley behind my building this morning, by a kitchen employee of the place I ate last night. Not loving the neighborhood drama at the moment. (Note to my bartender from dinner: it's not self-defense if someone keeps shooting at a person who's running away.)
On the plus side, I got a couple to take one of the kittens home, and got in touch with a woman who has or is getting a trap to round up the mama cat for spaying.
Oh yes, def sending good house vibes to ND and Pox!!
Matt that does sound rather sketch. Why is the kitchen staff packing heat??
Yikes, Matt.
Fingers crossed that the daith piercing works, Steph!
I had to convince myself to get out of bed today because I'm flying to Michigan tomorrow for Thanksgiving. I'm also preparing for four birthdays while I'm there. Most of my errands are done, so I just need to finish up everything so I can go to bed early.

Yeah, particularly for prep before Sunday brunch, which is not a time I'd envision much need for arming oneself against potential threats. Apparently staff from the neighboring bar & grill got accidentally locked outside while this was going on and were frantically pounding on the door to be let back in.
Meatloaf in the oven, lunch for the week to come nearly ready.
Yikes, Matt. Stay safe.
We made a big bolognese today, and then ended up eating a whole pound of pasta. ltc had three bowls.
