I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Tried making ricotta gnocchi. Sounded great, unfortunately came out kind of mediocre. The roasted pork loin is good, though.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Quiet day here.

Art Crawl!!!

Timelies!

I've been feeling really down. . . then discovered my new bottle of anti-d's unopened on my bathroom sink. Oops.

sarameg- I hope the new neighbor is even a good 50 percent as decent as your friend Brian.

Watched the 1st hour of Alias Grace the other day and then read the new Sharyn McCrumb, The Unquiet Grave and both are fictional accounts of 19th century True Crimes. True Crime: it is everywhere.

(I'm not actually trying to avoid it but - man. . . everywhere.)

Watched Eliza Wallace's head-cam of her CC run at Ocala Jockey Club, a documentary on Boyd Martin and now am watching a 4 year old episode of Gardener's World.

Youtube can be very helpful in avoiding the news.

Coding and Sleeping

Is it wrong to want some new major scandal to come along so we don't have to talk about Roy Moore for another month?

So you're the one who Monkey Paw'ed us into the Al Franken scandal.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

oh dear, Gud

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

If we're picking potential scandals, I decided today that I really want to see someone punch Paul Ryan in the face. Just once.

Our wings are not tired.

sobs uncontrollably eta: not sobbing at Dana's suggestion! That would be awesome.

So, I messed up and got tickets to opening night of Annie Get Your Gun at the local community theater, on the night of the first home game of the high school basketball team DH coaches. Grumble grumble. I thought we would still be in football season and not have basketball games on Friday night. Bother.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Will they let you trade your tickets for unsold ones another night of the performance, Laura?

Our wings are not tired.

Yeah, I am sure they will. It is the super nice local theater close to my house. I'm just annoyed.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

If anyone is looking for people watching opportunities, may I suggest Chicago's loop theatre district? The Christkindlmarket opened yesterday, A Christmas Carol started previews today, and Escape To Margaritaville opened Wednesday. The Parrotheads, with their hawaiian shirts and beach balls are a really quirky addition to the whole vibe.
