I've seen enough of his standup to know that the accusations are fairly consistent his self-described behavior.
I don't doubt that, but he has been known to show some personal growth and admit he was wrong on occasion. This is a golden opportunity for that. Not holding my breath, but it would be nice.

He's had plenty of time to do so on this account. I first heard about this behavior months if not more than a year ago. And it's not like I run in his circle so it would take some time for those stories to trickle to me.

I've been hearing things for months ( and I can't recall where) which is bizarro because I don't follow standup and my only exposure to that world is public radio (I can pinpoint Snap Judgement and Bullseye for mentions of him and Tig Nsomething and then somewhere about their break.)
My industry had its own earthquakes last..year? I was done giving any benefit of doubt, unmoved by redemption stories or apologies or whatever bullshit.
The problem is with men. They gotta fix it. They gotta want to and hold themselves accountable. You don't get redemption, just quit being awful, but no cookies for being less awful. Fuck the patriarchy and misogyny.

On the one hand, sometimes I feel out of the loop on work things, because my work team is 3 hours ahead of me AND I'm nocturnal. On the other hand, man are they thankful that I'm always around later than them, because when the PtB finally give the signal to publish for our (delayed, so delayed!) tech preview, I can deal with documentation wrangling.
If we do end up moving again (ha ha ha i am not at all slightly hysterical about this possibility), it would at least be to EST, which would mean no more 7AM meetings.
