Tracy: Well-- That call -- That call means you just murdered me. Mal: No, son. You murdered yourself. I just carried the bullet a while.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good luck, Jesse!

I hope you can enjoy the rest of your trip, meara.

I have no ideas, Calli.

Made it to work early, so I can leave early, yay!

meara - I have loved your travel updates. I spent a couple of weeks in Japan when I was 15 (mumbledecadesmumbleago). I'd love to go back and revisit some of the places I didn't appreciate as much as I would have as an adult.

I keep wanting to find a way to go to Germany. My dad is going there in a couple of weeks. I want to be there for my cousins. But even if I had the travel funds, leaving home right now would be very complicated.

Partly because I dropped Crowley off to be neutered this morning, so he is going to need extra tlc for the next bit.

brillig

I do a lot of fannish squeeing on Ravelry of all places. There are all sorts of nooks and crannies over there for non-knitting things.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I'm sorry, Suzi. It's hard to be far away from family in times like that.

I just sent an email withdrawing from my chorus. It's the right thing to do, but it makes me feel like a failure. Sigh.

It's the right thing to do, but it makes me feel like a failure.

Someone who was a failure would not tell anyone they were quitting and just not show up to performances. IJS.

I'm sorry that you won't get to do the travel, though.

My dad had 3 siblings and this family group is the one I'm closest with. I'm the eldest cousin and I want to do something. Other than touching base with them and being a long distance chat buddy, I'm not sure what else I can do.

I'm working from Starbucks in downtown Denver today - staying near the vet office instead of driving across town twice today. It is COLD AS FUCK in this place. I dressed warm, but didn't bring a jacket. I'm wishing I had gloves too! I might have to look up a different place with wifi to hang out. Ugh.

With the cold, and knowing Steph's fondness, here's a recipe for a casserole topped with tater tots.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, that looks delicious.

Other than touching base with them and being a long distance chat buddy, I'm not sure what else I can do.

Suzi, that sounds like the right thing to do.

Dana, I agree with shrift.

In other news, someone in my neighborhood is selling a movie theater type popcorn machine, and I want it! But how ridiculous is that? But I want it.

Dude. Jesse. You have to get that.
