You could Craiglist/Next Door it or something, Connie. I know when a friend of mine was getting rid of an old single bed that she no longer had room for, it happened to be exactly what a single mom friend of mine was looking for to move her 3 year old daughter out of a toddler bed and into a Big Girl bed.
Or if Goodwill or some other thrift shop does pickup, they might pick up the frame. Or if you have a bulletin board (tangible or electronic) for work, you could post it, because someone might need it.
There's a Salvation Army around here that supposedly picks up mattresses. I only say supposedly because we couldn't get the timing together, but if I had been able to drop it off, it would have been fine.
I think I will relax about the governor's race when I wake up tomorrow (or when the guy concedes), but I'm feeling okay.

Virginia and New Jersey have both already been called for the Democrats. I don't think anybody expected them to win this decisively.

Got a call from my boss. The dept election went in my favor, so pending the dean's approval, I'll be Director of the department next year. It'll be a rotating position. AND I'm going to Hawaii in a couple days for a conference. It's been a good week. But that doesn't mean I'm done with grading - nope!
