Yeah, that's exhausting all right. Glad you got through it okay, Jesse.
Interested in the results of any experiments in melting. But safety first.
Dance went pretty well, I think? Raised $200 for the library, had quite a large audience. We only had one speaker for stereo sound for the first set, so that was...challenging, but I think we mostly managed well. We kinda fell apart on the last couple of songs, but I don't know how apparent that was to the audience. Hopefully not very. Was fun, though!
At the restaurant after I ended up at a small table with just my parents, which was fine because I haven't seen them in a couple of weeks so we had catching up to do. And the food was delish.
Tired now. Maybe wine time.
This is the part that's especially exhausting -- all the together time. Yikes.
Oh, Jesse, it's so exhausting. I hope you get Monday off to decompress.
It's so tiring. I always feel like I'm running interference for my mom at those things.
Why are there fireworks, neighbors? Is this a custom I am unfamiliar with?
Seems to have stopped. Maybe someone just found a Roman Candle lying around and set it off because it was there...
Why are there fireworks, neighbors? Is this a custom I am unfamiliar with?
Maybe the Antifa revolution finally started.
Hello there, first-cousin-once-removed-of-Jesse, my name is Tom, and I will be Jesse's designated hugger for the evening. Jesse sincerely accepts your condolences."
Lol, sounds like many people could use a Tom scola at times!
Japan continues to be pretty freaking cool (see photos on my Facebook and Instagram). Tomorrow we head to Kyoto. Will try not to go crazy on my traveling companion though she was makin me a bit nuts today. Reminding myself that if we want we can go totally different places and spend all day apart, in Kyoto. (The next two places on the itinerary not so much, as we have Plans, but Kyoto I could avoid her for three days if desired!)
I'm already feeling anxious about coming home and having to deal with work, though :(
Ugh, got waked up at a quarter to 4 by the building fire alarm going off. The one none of us can shut down—the tenants and the fire dept. had to wait on my landlord to show up with a key to the alarm system. At least we know it does work in the event of an actual fire, I guess.
At least it was on extra-hour-of-sleep day?
Which brought my grand total up to three. It started going off again about 20 minutes later, at which point I got up for real.
