Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I buy Nature Made vitamins because they're tested for quality by an independent lab. I also take 2x the vitamin D I'm "supposed" to because I'm inside most of the time. My lab test last month showed my levels of D normal so I guess I'm right.

My new friend whose kitchen I cleaned today (re my previous post) was very cool! Smart, interesting, interesting life. Man, her house is a pit. I felt so bad for her! It took 6 hours of steady work for me to clean a double sink, a section of countertop, and the stove. We took out two bags of trash. She hugged me and almost cried. I really want to clean up the rest of her house! Nobody should have to live overwhelmed by a mess they can't control.

Now take a moment to bask in the irony of me cleaning someone else's house...

I was afraid my back and my ankle would hurt too much to finish the job, but the back pain was bearable and my foot hardly bothered me at all. My new Hoka sneakers might have helped, they're wide and very well padded. So, it was a good day! And a beautiful cool autumn day, too. Perfect weather, perfect sunshine/cloud ratio.

And I got to feed and pet some friendly goats and dogs and cats.

Also that Captain America dress would look very good on you.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm glad that worked out so well, Zen!

I'm not sure about the dress either. I like the idea but I don't think that cut is quite the thing. Hard to tell without seeing it on a body, though.

I don't care about vitamin brands as long as I can get the dosages I've been prescribed, which in a couple of cases I've only found at GNC. Why Folic Acid only comes in 400mg tablets (I'm supposed to take 1000/day) while there are 15 variations of fish oil right next to it I don't understand.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

That's so cool, Zen, that you're helping your friend dig herself out. She really needed it and you were able to do it even being physically compromised.

That's great.

Wow Zen, that's a lot of cleaning!!

I can't seem to accomplish much in the way of productivity but need desperately to. I suppose that means Friday night I'll be frantically cleaning the house, and Saturday running errands and packing??

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

It's often almost fun to clean someone else's house. And it can be fun to have somebody come help you clean yours.

It's when locked away in the dank dark dungeon of my own house that it sucks to clean. Bored, bored, bored.

Also: Yay you, Zen, for helping out.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What a great friend you are, Zen!

I'd guess it's because Women Who Might Be Pregnant are supposed to take 400mg/day, but that's without looking it up.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

You can get a prescription for the 1000 mg folic acid. I have to take 4 of the 1000s a day because of the SB.

I do not need light showers on the day the roofer is coming.

Our wings are not tired.

Nice, Zen! It is wonderful that you were able to help her make some progress.

Hoping I can actually depart tomorrow and get back to Florida. Sitting here in sweats, and a jacket, with a blanket over me. Dang newfangled computer monitor doesn't even give off heat. The space heaters will do their thing soon enough, but mornings are chilly. DH has gone to town and is bringing me back warm breakfast treats.

The construction dudes are outside working finishing up assembling and painting new screens for my windows. It is still in the 30s! Mountain men with thicker blood than me. (I expect them to point and laugh at me when they see me bundled up inside through said windows)
