For the first year in forever our medical/dental benefits don't appear to have changed (I haven't gotten into the fine print). Our contribution is exactly the same, which has NEVER happened before. I think with us being acquired, they are working to keep as much the same as possible.
Shifting to Zoloft seems to be kicking in. I'm not sunshine and rainbows 24/7 but I don't feel like I'm weighed down 24/7 either.
Crowley had a rough night last night while I was out. CJ said he whined to the point of sounding like he was in pain the whole time I was gone. CJ would try to snuggle and scritch him but it only calmed him a touch.
Got a call from roofer; they're coming tomorrow!
So I got to pull the ac in the dark, while people walking their dogs stared up at me in concern. One dog got really riled up about me being on the roof.
And cramps hit, so that's fun. But working from home tomorrow to supervise and comfort the cars. It's gonna be noisy at times.
I'm imagining sarameg speaking to a Chevy in a very soothing voice.
Are some brands of vitamins supposed to be better than others? I'm supposed to start taking D3 and B12.
I'm not sure if the style of this Captain America dress would be flattering or not: [link]
Jesus, my autocorrect/complete ought know by now that if it's a 3 or 4 letter word starting with ca-, it's gonna be cat(s).
heh
I had autocorrect change "strobe" to "strife" today. Why?
Autocorrect changed "concede" to "condescend" for me today. Whole different vibe, autocorrect.
I went to an informational meeting that the Music Health Alliance put in today. Man, I am so grateful to them. They're a local non profit that helps professional musicians navigate healthcare. They had some stuff I didn't know that will really affect the decisions I make in a few days, since my existing HSA plan has evaporated.
Going back a ways, my email doppelgänger is Coach Keith Prinkle who is pretty invested in this whole Be A Better Father, Be A Better Man thing, which I applaud, but think I am not going to get much benefit from all these newsletter subscriptions. I was only able to get him to quit subscribing me when he cancelled practice and he wasn't hearing back from the kids to confirm and I finally got fed up and emailed the whole parent list myself.
I buy Nature Made vitamins because they're tested for quality by an independent lab. I also take 2x the vitamin D I'm "supposed" to because I'm inside most of the time. My lab test last month showed my levels of D normal so I guess I'm right.
My new friend whose kitchen I cleaned today (re my previous post) was very cool! Smart, interesting, interesting life. Man, her house is a pit. I felt so bad for her! It took 6 hours of steady work for me to clean a double sink, a section of countertop, and the stove. We took out two bags of trash. She hugged me and almost cried. I really want to clean up the rest of her house! Nobody should have to live overwhelmed by a mess they can't control.
Now take a moment to bask in the irony of me cleaning someone else's house...
I was afraid my back and my ankle would hurt too much to finish the job, but the back pain was bearable and my foot hardly bothered me at all. My new Hoka sneakers might have helped, they're wide and very well padded. So, it was a good day! And a beautiful cool autumn day, too. Perfect weather, perfect sunshine/cloud ratio.
And I got to feed and pet some friendly goats and dogs and cats.
Also that Captain America dress would look very good on you.
