All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Just give it some pink details!

I was pretty good about switching hands and techniques, and even created a better grip on the tambourine using a wooden spoon, but after 3 hours, my shoulders and forearms were so pissed, I cut my swim to a little over half the long swim. I needed to let those tendons rest.

Got more runners to hit the tambourine. I really need to make signs next year. There was vid of a lady downtown singing 'you got the power' accompanied by a sign that said 'hit the power' with a big fat red star that so many runners hit. I need to do something like that (minus the singing.)

Always make a point to scream the names of the teams with someone in a running cart (they have flags with names ) usually kids, and give extra tambourine noise. Had a lot of kids crane backwards to see the fuss. Which makes me glad I do that.

Y volunteer cheerers were seriously pulling some dance moves to my beat (and gave me jokingly shit when I was flagging. I yelled back, imma white girl, whaddya expect? But seriously, my metronome is iffy at best.)

Love the couple who yelled 'how are your hands' and to my 'can't feel em' response, 'I can't feel anything below my waist, but thanks for being here!'

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Is it Death or Jilli?

I knew what that was even before I clicked the link. :: grins :: Easiest cosplay for me, ever!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

My failures this morning at getting food to the kitten Frankenstein (she's a runt with randomly colored mangy fur and gummed-up eyes—she looks like she was assembled from spare parts!) rather than her more robust siblings were mitigated by her finally letting me pet her and discovering how to purr like an outboard motor after dinner tonight. Hopefully she'll let me corral her so I can feed her the good wet food away from the others from now on.

Also tonight the husband out of a passing couple slipped me a twenty to buy food for the alley cats; their feed for the next three weeks or so is taken care of. It occurred to me that cozying up to some kittens might make a really good spiel for a panhandler.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Sorry about the insomnia, Tom.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh, I'm sorry to hear that, Tom. I hate insomnia

Aww Matt, you are doing good work. Go kittens!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In bereavement news, I'm starting to wish people were bringing casseroles, because I was just eating brownie from one set of neighbors when I noticed some new biscotti from another set! We also got blueberry muffins today.

Thank goodness for my mother's old school friend who brought calzones.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

No one brought you a ham?
