Thrive to spite them

It's tax dollars going to ACA and the poor it's the kind of thing people like Paul Ryan hate. Some GOP are upset but other aren't .

It means instead of costing $700/nth I paid $25. Although hpbealty my income fell below the $11,500 range and I should have reported it and I guess ended the subsidies but I never did. There is a min income level for subsidies because the GOP was against it being for everyone. Medicaid expansion should have helped those that make less than that but the expansion was optional and moat of the Republican controlled states opted out.

I can't even tell who that is supposed to benefit.

Nobody. These aren't the direct subsidies, but rather subsidies to insurance companies to offset especially expensive people. This backstop lets the insurance companies set their premiums lower which lowers the cost of the direct subsidies. So not only will this hurt people trying to get insurance through the ACA, but it will likely end up costing the government more since the subsidies will have to rise to deal with the higher premiums.

Our wings are not tired.

And of course it all ends up with people going back to the ER for primary care because insurance is too expensive.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's what I thought, Gud. Thanks for confirming.

So stupid.

Atlas Fire is 27% contained! That's a big improvement.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

That was truly brilliant, Gud. Life-changing, even.

OMG this day is so long!

Possibly eating will help with that. I have somehow eaten less than 500 calories so far today. Hello emergency stash of ramen!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

My folks are here, and I'm fighting a cold. Joy.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Garage Sale day #1 was mostly a bust. My parents sold a couple of big things (a bike and a camping hutch/table) but everything else was little stuff and not much of that. Very few people. We put out more signs this afternoon, so fingers are crossing that we have a lot of people tomorrow. We have a lot of clothes this time which we did not last time. And we still have 4 sets of dishes and quite a bit of glassware which is going to be a bear to move to thrifts stores because it all has to be wrapped and the boxes are heavy and whine whine whine.

I showered as soon as I got home, hot and sweaty and my feet hurt.
