All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

-t, yes the attempts to let AIs "learn" from internet conversations is clearly a terrible idea, broadly speaking. If they were learning from us the future would be much more entertaining and civil.

Kitty!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Tell us more about cat. Name? Coloring? Cuteness level?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

His name is Buddy (for now?), he's black and white, and super cute! But was also super riled up in the shelter, and yowled and peed in the crate on the way home, so I guess I'm giving him his space for the moment...

I lured him out with treats and tried to show him the litter box and food/water, but he's still basically avoiding me so I'm not sure he got it. He'll figure it out, right?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Mine did immediately as half-grown kittens, so I think all that will come very naturally to most cats.

When mine first came home they did all their exploring as soon as I turned the lights off at night. He'll find everything.

Oh yeah, I am actually sure he will be fine. Obviously trying to give a cat a tour of the amenities is ridiculous!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

In NY now, dealing with Mr. S who will not settle down and go to bed.

Punishingly Intricate

Buddy!!! I call all dogs and children whose names I don't knew that (&some whose names I do).

My friend came to visit me from NY for the first time in like 10 years or more this weekend and we had a great time last night then she woke up this morning with terrible vertigo. I feel so bad for her! We ended up having a chill day and lots of good conversation and she is feeling better now but ugh. Vertigo is the worst!
