"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I get paid for my 10 minute breaks but not for lunch, Matt. I get clocked for all of them, though. It's supposedly to ensure that I am getting my legally mandated breaks, so, whatever. That starts Thursday. Sigh.

Ah, sounds more like to make sure no one is taking breaks beyond the legally mandated 10 minutes. But if you're getting paid for those, just annoying rather than outrageous.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It's pretty stupid, but capitalism so what do you expect?

Pretty fountain, sarameg. Healing thoughts towards person on the sidewalk, that sounds pretty bad.

I'm calling it the kitchen toilet. Going to take some getting used to the sound of water running without running to shut it off.

It's more elegant than many. Throw some stones in it, could be a tabletop fountain. But for now, kitchen.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I guess they could clock each other with the parts? Only a premobile baby could fit its face in there.

I am once again having that nagging feeling that if I just gave up sleeping I could manage my life ok.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

The ER was fun, in the sense that I hated it. Too sleepy with the meds to do anything, but not sleepy enough to sleep, so I was bored out of my skull. The stuff definitely helped, but not enough that I can say "Aha, miracle cure." So I'll be trying to avoid that in the future.
