Is that one of the fingerprint ones? We had one of those at H&M when I worked there, and half the time it wouldn't read my fingerprint.
Yep, fingerprint.
I get paid for my 10 minute breaks but not for lunch, Matt. I get clocked for all of them, though. It's supposedly to ensure that I am getting my legally mandated breaks, so, whatever. That starts Thursday. Sigh.

And this is because you're hourly now, instead of salaried, right? So dumb. I hope it turns out to be a reasonably pleasant place to work.
It's been over ten years since I had a job that recognized national holidays other than Christmas and New Years
Yup. So far so good, I guess.
No long weekend here. Next company holiday is Thanksgiving. Makes for a long stretch.

Pretty sure it's Indigenous Peoples Day here, but the calendar still says Columbus.
I have gained a little weight and am trying to eat less candy, so every day I resolve "no candy" but then every day seems to boil down to "kill my husband, or eat candy?" and I eat candy. Sigh.
Home renovations, they're not for kids, folks, and my husband seems like he's actually a kid hiding in the body of a 6'6" 48 year old.
I'm sorry, flea. Husband is very good with a lot of things, but there are some other ones that make me want to strangle him.
I'm considering going to the ER for this migraine. Woo?
