My condolences to you and your family, Sophia.
Natter 75: More Than a Million Natters Served
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
All condolences to Sophia and family.
Successfully caught the express bus this morning. It has free wifi! not exactly consistently, but the thought is nice. Pretty cushy and not a bad walk on this end, 14 minutes according to my phone. There is another bus that stops right in front of work that I could transfer to, but paying $5 or even $1.75 for one stop seems a little silly. Hopefully I'll have time to talk to someone at the transit center, find out if monthly passes are route specific or not, which might make that option more appealing.
And now I'm trained on the copier (that one wasn't just because I'm new here, we got new copiers). In half an hour, Front Desk training. Yay.
Y'all aren't shunning me, are you? I won't know if you don't tell me. Is it the Nietzsche?
Pretty sure it wasn't the Nietzsche?
I am blowing off a meeting I don't need to be at in favor of eating lunch, and I don't feel even a little bad! OK, a little bad for not just declining the invitation.
Hooray lunch!
Indeed.
I mean, I should also be working, but eh.
I'm so sorry, Sophia.
I made yummy soup and brought it next door to share with step-dad. We went to his surgeon follow up yesterday and he was given driving privileges back. He is really doing incredibly well. Nasty triple by-pass a month ago and he has mowed his lawn, and doing all manner of normal daily stuff. All doctors very impressed.
Soup was quick variety. Sauteed celery, carrots, garlic, then added canned tomato-basil soup and some orzo pasta I cooked separately. Good stuff for a chilly day.
