The high today is going to be 46. I'm going to have to turn the heat on.
Currently 90 degrees here. Madness!
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

It's 90 here. Not the best weather for doing more unpacking and/or putting together our Ikea storage units for our kitchen (they're new and pretty cool: [link] ). As Cole Porter would say, it's too darn hot.
Yay, I have a new TV! Old one died a couple of weeks ago, and I found that I missed being able to just turn it on and see what I could stumble across on PBS.
YAY for a new tv!
APA question. If I start a sentence with the title of a book, does the author and date immediately follow in parans? Or at the end of the sentence?
Something like "In Little House on the Prairie blah blah blah happened". No clue why I used that as an example, just popped out. My brain is fried.
Suzi, it would be "In Little House on the Prairie (Wilder, 2017) blah blah blah happened." Or you could say, "In Little House on the Prairie, Wilder (2017) says blah blah blah..."
Thanks. Should the book title be italicized? I can't find anything in my searching. I should really get a copy of the current APA guidelines, but I'm over half way done and lazy.
Titles of books, journals, etc should be italicized. Article titles should be in quotes.
This cheat sheet might help you. [link]
Bookmarked and THANK YOU.
Two more paragraphs on one paper and then 10 sentences on the other. Ugh. I hate procrastinating but I'm so darned good at it.
I need some advice about cats. Mom's cat has developed a destructive habit of knocking things off flat surfaces when he wants to go out.
He does this when no one is home. It has just been stuff in mom's room that is non breakable getting knocked over but yesterday I found a broken mug I got for my birthday and a pottery my nephew made with a chunk out of the lid in my room.
I can't keep my door closed because Penny's litter box is in my room.
If we are in the living room he'll go and knock a remote control off a table instead of just going to the door.
I have no idea how to change this behavior. Anyone have any ideas?
