I did the "hit a real bar" at midnight, went to work still kinda sloshed, and then I don't recall if we went out that night or not. I say real bar because we used to hang out at the E club on base - the over 18 club for enlisted sailors (and marines). Sure, we drank there too - but that didn't count.
But the drinks of choice after midnight were flaming orgasms (my husband was out at sea, so obviously I needed those) and butterscotch schnapps (cause it is hilarious to try to say butterscotch schnapps after you have had a few).
Timelies all!
I think my then-boyfriend took me out and bought me a drink on my 21st birthday. I wasn't in much of a celebratory mood, as my best friend was in the hospital, in the ICU back in her hometown.
The high today is going to be 46. I'm going to have to turn the heat on.
We actually set a fire in the fireplace last night because it got down into the low 50s. And my son is a pyromaniac.
The high today is supposed to hit 90°.
Have walked for Alzheimer's and eaten lunch, and now there's the full afternoon in which to do stuff. But will I?? Probably not much. The one thing I have to do is go buy nail polish remover.
Just in case anyone needs to cry: Rescue dogs in Mexico City.
89° in Chicago. It's cooler than it was yesterday.
Maybe the cold temperatures are heading east? ::says a prayer::
My thermometer says 92, but it just moved into direct sun. So more like 89. But humidity is up. Got kinda sweaty gettting Mexican food.
Cocina Luchadoras' tacos are gracing the front of Baltimore magazine's taco issue!
Well, emailed my acceptance of the new position. We'll see how it goes. I am pretty sure they are actually trying to do right by me, but I have ever never felt more as if the management of my company is an opposing side I have to maneuver around.
Disappointed in the Saints response to #TakeAKnee. Pretty wishy-washy on the whole. A's though. Represent.
