"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I have purchased a bottle of wine! Because why not, regrets are for Future Me! I'm still waiting on my Cuban food to arrive, though.

And shrift, I may take you up on that -- Chantix is one of those drugs where the possible side effects make me a little wary.

I totally had concerns going in due to the possible side effects, so I hear you.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Recovery~ma for Lisa's uncle!

Ugh. The shoes I wore to services tonight rub my feet sore in a few places. Sad thing is that they are one of only two pairs of dressy shoes I have that fit.(The other are dressy sandals) I probably need to buy new dressy shoes, but that is difficult because of my weird sized feet.(6 1/2-7 D or EE width, depending on the style) I do not have the time to play Zappos roulette.

Wishing health to many. I'm kinda not tracking. 5 hrs of meetings with installation prep crammed in between. And they made it worse, not better. Ops is cranky.

How is it only 9? I may also be pmsing. Lordies.

Our wings are not tired.

That's awesome, Amy! Free~lungs~ma to you. It is a real joy to have it behind you. (although not a blast in the short run)

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Tommyrot, when you are settled in and want to explore a bit check out Strawberry Hill Povitica. [link] That's the one place I can think of that is near-ish to you and isn't a chain.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, I did not sleep well at all last night -- am afraid the extra coffee I was drinking yesterday morning was not decaf?? But then why did I also wake up early? In short: gronk.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Anti-nicotine~ma, Amy!

Wow, that sounds like quite the nightmare, Matt! I had one that was just me watching a wound pulse in some anonymous person's skin. Pretty sure it wasn't me, but still. Very quiet. Very disturbing.

Health ~ma to Matt's dad and lisah's uncle!

Meara and Dana, I hope you both feel better soon.

I had a quarterly checkin with one of my managers yesterday. He was very encouraging and happy about the quality of my work. So naturally my first (and second and third and . . . ) reaction was to wonder when he'd stumble upon my true incompetence. There was a seminar on imposter syndrome available last week. Perhaps I should have attended.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Despite having gone to bed at 9 last night, I was still super-grumpy when my alarm woke me up at 6:45.

Calli, shush your imposter syndrome. You're doing great. Your manager just told you so.

Yeah, that!!

I am currently in the valley of the competence-confidence chart thingy [link] which is legit after six months in a job, but feels like crap.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

No school for ltc today, but she still woke up at school time. Usually we have to drag her out of the crib on school days.
