FML, I'm gonna have to do 24 hr shift work. Not looking forward to it, but kinda a reality in launching a new telescope. Trial runs start Nov. already put in that I don't wanna on weekend dayshift (would fuckup swimming.)
I'm gonna be cranky in 2019/20.

Damn, I'm exhausted. Just finished packing for the movers about 15 minutes after they arrived.
I'm probably leaving for the KC area tomorrow, or maybe early Saturday.

A time-honored tradition, at least in my house. Though really, it's usually us pointing the movers towards the spots we managed to finish, while frantically continuing to pack the rest of the house.
I think I have PTSD from moving.
So, leave early and drive eight hours straight with the kitty? Or find a motel that takes cats and do it over two days?

It took me awhile to get over the PTSD from my last move 8 years ago.
This time I'm moving out of town and starting a new job.
On Tuesday evening they told me I needed to take a drug test on Wednesday. Of course I had an everything bagel with poppyseeds for breakfast Tuesday morning. So I mentioned that to the recruiting company, and now I think they're suspicious of me. Or I could just be paranoid. At least I can retake the test once I'm in KC, but googling says that one bagel would be unlikely to cause me to fail the drug screen.
Or maybe I'm just convinced something has to go wrong with this move and new job thing.
Depends on how you sleep in a motel. I would probably drive straight through and get it behind me.
That's crossed my mind too.
Originally they wanted me there by 3:30 or 4:00 Saturday so they could check me in to the new apartment, but today they told me if I arrive late they'll leave keys out for me. That way I could sleep later on Saturday.
