Timelies all!
Took the cats to the vet for their annual checkups and shots. Both got clean bills of health.

I was little afraid I wouldn't be able to stop eating, just like a dog!
That made me laugh so hard.
Dottie had her first post adoption vet visit today and everyone LOVED her. Also they don't think she's a Jack Russell mix, just an actual Jack Russell. And more underweight than we realized. But otherwise all good.
Darby stunned the vet techs with her ability to turn her head and scoff at the stinkiest treats and food they could come up with. That girl cannot be bribed and she cannot be appeased. So all's normal on that front too.
So, in completely diamond shoes problems, we're remodeling almost our whole house and moving out two weeks from today and I have about four thousand decisions to make about things like tile and lights and fucking drawer pulls. And yet the rest of my life still needs to be dealt with, like my job and laundry and meals and making the children do their homework. I am just mentally done wth everything.
My cousins who always go to the Austin City Limits festival with me just told me they aren't going this year. I now have an extra 3-day ticket, plus no people to walk with me to and from the parking each day. wah wah wah my diamond shoes.
flea, decision-making is wearing, no matter what.
msbelle, that is a bummer! Maybe someone else wants to go with you?
brenda, thank you.
We went out and got a tv for the kitchen in our new place. We haven't had any tv since we got here. TheDH is currently hooking it up for us. He's wearing overalls because those are his work clothes. It's way too dark in this room, something we'll deal with later, so he's wearing a headlamp thingie he got for cooking outside on his head. So, he's in overalls, In a headlamp, explaining to the dogs each step of the process. I LOVE THIS DUDE SO MUCH.
As long as he's not wearing shorty overalls. Saw a giant of a long bearded, baseball capped, white dude of a greying age wearing a pair of shorty khaki ones a bit too small for him rummaging in his plumbing truck today. It was a sartorial statement I cannot decipher. But I never thought I'd come so close to seeing buttcheek from that end of a plumber's pants.
Not shorty, thank god.
I really think we all owe it to ourselves though to picture Scrappy's DH in this pair of shorty overalls, doing handyman things around the house ala a pin-up hubby. [link]
