This is not funny. This... this is a morality tale about the evils of sake.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Here too. Lightning strikes just caused two fires around me. Waiting for the plague of locusts.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Today Mr. S started nursery school in a new place. So far, so good.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Did I tell y'all about my sister getting hit by what appeared to be a random drop of blood falling from the sky when she was walking the dog a couple of days before the eclipse? It turned out not to be blood, the theory is berry juice of some kind, but still very weird.

And our managing director just sent us all an email saying the hiring freeze we have been in that I didn't actually know about will continue, people will be offered early retirement packages, and we're all getting our 401k matching funds cut next year. So that's fun.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh dear, -t! (That could have been my reaction to your last three posts, honestly. But I hope the job stuff stays OK.)

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

The spiderwebs have ash in them and the sun was red this morning.

This does sound like a line from that 3-eggs-every-morning story.

The mild weather here with hurricanes, floods, and fires seemingly everwhere else has me fully anticipating tornado blizzards in January.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.
