So in my paranoia I had pretty much given up on the Kansas City job, because my contact told me on Monday she'd get back to me in an hour to let me know if they were going to give me an offer and I hadn't gotten an answer to that question.

Until now. She called me to let me know they're going to give me an offer soon. I'm supposed to start on 9/18 so I have 2 1/2 weeks to find an apartment and move. Which I think is doable.

I'm mostly in a state of shock. I'd been depressed these last few days when I thought I wouldn't get the job--I figured they offered it to someone else and they were waiting for that person to accept before telling me I didn't get it.

Thanks guys. I'm going to be very busy for the next 2 1/2 weeks.

So, renting an apartment without seeing it--yay or nay? I suppose I could drive to KC tomorrow and look at places Saturday. Of course it's the holiday weekend...

eta: the places I've been looking at online are all quite nice and in good neighborhoods.
