Am I supposed to be changing my clothes a lot? Is that the helpful thing to do?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh Dana, I'm sorry. I hope he finds something better.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I have to say, I have a cousin named June who was NOT born in June, so I give them credit for that, at least?

Was she born in March?

Got to Druid tonight. It was bliss. Kinda nippy, but bliss. Was just me and the guard until a little after 6 when another Y refugee joined. (I didn't even need the lockers, they were like, nah, too cold to be busy, we don't care if you bring your stuff on deck.) Guard and I bonded after over the zen of laps and he wanted to know a lot about my Y. Knew a lot of the pool folk there, too. My pool opens tomorrow but I'll probably go to Druid again. Y fri with chillier weather and then the 3 day weekend at Druid.

Guard told me scuttlebutt that the renos might mean no opening at all next summer, maybe not until late summer 2019! AHHHRG. I was hoping construction wouldn't start until the fall. Clifton is the next closest, but morning hours aren't as great. And he wasn't sure if Clifton was as pro-lapswimmers as Druid is.I'll survive, but I love Druid & going to the park and am sorry I didn't get into this regular routine until this summer.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

My apologies! [link]

Much obliged, What ho, indeed.

So tonight I congratulated a former neighbor who is the ex of a former original neighbor, where I was the catalyst for them to realize they had feels, but it didn't work after 7 years...oh, where was I? Oh, she had a baby girl as a single mom, thanks science (worried that would be a deal breaker for them, was sadly right..) And the most my neighborhood thing was seeing her ex and ex's prior roommate also congratulating & wishing well.

Hey, I just realized that I made it through today without being sexually harassed! Very exciting.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I saw a real-life "Squirrel!" moment on the way to work this morning. The dog was totally doing its own thing and then suddenly FREAKED OUT and tried to go running after the squirrel. It even kind of looked like the dog from Up. (Which I have never actually seen.)

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

We are at Dragoncon. Someone just knocked on the door, even though the Do Not Disturb sign is out. I figured it was one of our friends.

It was a woman I've never seen before, very put together (not wearing a geeky t-shirt or wings or whatever), who said she was looking for her mother. The queen of England.

She was really lucky we were already awake.

Punishingly Intricate

She thought her mother is the Queen of England?
