Laura, I am sure you eulogy will be applauded (or, you know, meaningfully nodded at if applause is innapropriate.)
Casper is refusing to come with us to Carbondale to see the eclipse because she's worried about missing the 3rd day of school. Teenagers! So luckily good friends are willing to keep her for two days while we observe historic natural phenomena.
Sending you love and ma, Laura.
Last night Faux-niece (BFF's daughter) doubled-down on how bored she was by eclipses and declared she'd be reading a book.
I wonder how much of it is young person refusing to get got up in hype because they're too cool for that.
IDK. It's honestly messing up my excitement for it. I could've gone to several other places and been with friends who are actually excited and had a great time. Instead I'm going to be with one person who dgaf, and another who can't seem to talk about anything but the trouble she's having getting the days off. We haven't talked about the eclipse at all. I'm feeling like I should've gone somewhere else.
Amazon is now saying that my eclipse glasses will be delivered today. I'm not sure I believe them.
much ~ma, laura. I am sure your mom will be proud of you!
