Got my swim after all. But boy howdy, it gets crazy after 6:30. Luckily, staff loves me and lets me share lanes with a lesson. Kid tonight was adorable, maybe 11. I always make a point of asking the kid if it's ok, too. He was kinda incredulous to be asked, but then peppered me with innumerable questions about learning to swim & swimming when we'd both finished. His mom had to practically drag him away.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.
I am so sympathetic toward men today! I'm going to visit a construction site (don't ask) and they said we have to wear long pants, sturdy shoes, etc. They actually said wear work boots if you have them, but that was a bridge too far, so I'm wearing jeans and sneakers, and it was so hot coming to work! And then I realized that most men wear long pants every day. Poor things.
