Right? I feel like if Republicans could fix some of the things in Obamacare that need to be fixed (one big thing is drug pricing), they would be re-elected FOREVER. Imagine campaigning on "Remember how your drugs under Obamacare used to be $700 a month, but now they're $40 a month? You know who fixed that? ME!!! Re-elect me forever!" And voters would.
But instead they just want to destroy Obamacare, which is not going to get them the votes they think it will.
The NYT has an article this morning about how it's historically been difficult/impossible to take away benefits/entitlement programs once they've been enacted.

As much as I am relieved that they won't get this through for the people it would harm so badly, my first thought was Trump and McConnell must be seriously frustrated and pissed off. This pleases me. I can hardly recognize myself I have become so petty.
