I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Recovery~ma, sarameg

So, Steph's Geek Cred requiring documentation made me think of how Doctor Who was arguably my first fandom. I even went to a meeting of a fan club of some sort at the library, but found it intensely uncomfortable and have kind of shied away from cons and whatnot since. Sort of want to draw some kind of conclusion from that....

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Fan communities based around genre TV shows are weird and sketchy?

...wait.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Don't meet up with fandom folks until you've vetted them for several years online?

That certainly sounds right.

Does it explain how to play? There are wickets, I know that much.

Not as such. You get to bat (it's probably called something else, right?) and stuff happens depending on how successful you are. I duppose you could eventually deduce the rules from that. Maybe.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I really feel like I should understand cricket by now, especially between the recent Grantchester and The Big Sick (not to mention Murder Must Advertise).

Our wings are not tired.

I've driven by people playing cricket in one of our parks frequently but didn't follow the whole thing very well. Both sides wear white which makes me always notice them.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I really feel like I should understand cricket by now, especially between the recent Grantchester and The Big Sick (not to mention Murder Must Advertise).

It's a game that requires five days of uninterrupted good weather and it was invented in England. It was not made to be understood, only marvelled at.
