Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I really feel like I should understand cricket by now, especially between the recent Grantchester and The Big Sick (not to mention Murder Must Advertise).

Our wings are not tired.

I've driven by people playing cricket in one of our parks frequently but didn't follow the whole thing very well. Both sides wear white which makes me always notice them.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I really feel like I should understand cricket by now, especially between the recent Grantchester and The Big Sick (not to mention Murder Must Advertise).

It's a game that requires five days of uninterrupted good weather and it was invented in England. It was not made to be understood, only marvelled at.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That is a wonderful explanation and I shall cherish it always.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

The thing is actually called a cricket bat, so I'd hope the action is called batting.

not to mention Murder Must Advertise

I just reread that recently. It's a good thing Sayers points out when a cricketer has done something wrong.

OK, why did I just turn into a duck?

That is perfect.

I have to admit to skimming. She always has some in-depth boring part that I may or may not actually read each time.

Just finished a reread of The Nine Tailors. Oh, my god, the bell ringing.

In the Google cricket game. I (that is, the cricket) turned into a duck. Like a rubber duck?
