Pretty cool except for the part where I was really terrified and now my knees are all dizzy.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

For the record, I did tell him that he was creepy and stalkery and told him to go fuck himself, before I blocked him. Because I'm classy like that.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I've totally checked out people's public profiles and scanned them for fannishness, but my goal is making new friends, not scoring points. (I'm hesitant to send friend requests to people I've "met" in other contexts unless I'm relatively sure my own geeky ramblings won't scare them away.)

Yeah, I might not have articulated properly -- the creepy part was the fact that he was trying to bust me on lack of fannish cred and therefore proclaim that I have no right to have an opinion.

Coding and Sleeping

That is on the creepy side.

It seems like such a natural move. You get to open up some fresh ideas and material and there's no reason the Doctor can't be female in the internal logic of the show.

Thank you for my first outburst of laughter this day.

I'm playing classical music loud an effort to fool the dog and have her not notice the thunder. I don't think it is working.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Yes, but you leave out the part where these people hate women.

Oh yeah, I got that.

Silly Broflakes. You wanna go up against a BUFFISTA in a fan-off? Really? We are legion, we are cranky, many of us are professional research librarians, and we have been doing this a LONG LONG TIME.

Some of the special snowflakes out there amaze me. Women fans run up against the worst of it by far. It just never ceases to amaze me. I've had fans challenge me on horror cred. I'm not a fan, I'm actually the guy making it.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

::high-fives Steph::

Right, Jessica? We will destroy you, if we deign to do so.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Steph, that was a great way of dealing with the bro.

I've had fans challenge me on horror cred. I'm not a fan, I'm actually the guy making it.

I've had some of the elitist gatekeeping babygoths challenge me on my goth cred. Apparently I'm not a Real Goth [TM] because I wear color, don't exclusively listen to classic old goth bands, and don't like Joy Division. But I never have to say anything to them -- other people jump in the posts and tell them off.
