OMG, y'all. Had dinner with friends and several glasses of wine, Friday night. And then went to karaoke at a tiki bar. Had a vodka soda. And then two painkillers. And definitely NOT enough water. I was SUPER drunk...and ended up puking for three hours the next morning, and staying in bed until almost 4pm because I couldn't handle life. Ugh. My tummy felt tender the whole day long. Never again, man.

But then my friends came over and we had sleepover night and watched "Drop Dead Gorgeous" and "Office Space" on VHS, because yes, I still have a VCR. Lol. And this morning we made hash browns and bacon and eggs and coffee and watched Great British Bake Off and yay.

May there be many more nights like Saturday, and fewer like Friday! Hangovers do indeed suck.

Hey, the next Doctor is going to be female. I'm really looking forward to that. I'm also looking forward to seeing that last couple of seasons too.

I am way behind on Doctor Who, but looking forward to jumping in to watch the new Doctor. Yes!!

It is not supposed to be hot for days on end in July. Infact, we are used to wondering if we will ever have summer. Yesterday was nice and social ( all pretty low key) , but the house never cooled down last night so I didn't sleep much. Hiding in the house today.

In any event, those were great. And so were the nut-jobber chocolate chip cookies I just took out of the oven. NOM.

Just got off the phone with a friend whose mother died a few weeks ago and she's in a horrible dispute with her siblings about how to manage their mother's rental properties, because the mother refused to make a will or a trust or name an executor, and it's all a big horrible mess.

People: have some consideration for your families, and make provisions! Which reminds me that I have to make provision myself! Argh.

I love eggs like that -- I usually get them that way as a side effect of frying them in the hot bacon fat.

I spent my afternoon going to a funeral in Providence, which was not how I had planned to spend the day, but was well worth doing. The older I get, the more I feel like you should always go to a funeral.

For those planning to jump back in, I really recommend this season that just ended. Peter Capaldi and the actors playing Nardole and Bill were really great together, and I liked the storylines a lot, especially with Missy in the mix.
