I have discovered the best way to make eggs. Yay Smitten Kitchen! Did I get the link here?

In any event, those were great. And so were the nut-jobber chocolate chip cookies I just took out of the oven. NOM.

Just got off the phone with a friend whose mother died a few weeks ago and she's in a horrible dispute with her siblings about how to manage their mother's rental properties, because the mother refused to make a will or a trust or name an executor, and it's all a big horrible mess.

People: have some consideration for your families, and make provisions! Which reminds me that I have to make provision myself! Argh.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I love eggs like that -- I usually get them that way as a side effect of frying them in the hot bacon fat.

I spent my afternoon going to a funeral in Providence, which was not how I had planned to spend the day, but was well worth doing. The older I get, the more I feel like you should always go to a funeral.

The status is NOT quo.

For those planning to jump back in, I really recommend this season that just ended. Peter Capaldi and the actors playing Nardole and Bill were really great together, and I liked the storylines a lot, especially with Missy in the mix.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Just watched two of her videos. The Everest one was fascinating, and yes, she is awesome!

Eta: Oh, she wrote Smoke Gets In Your Eyes And Other Lessons From The Crematory. [link] I was wondering if that was her. I love that book.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I have discovered the best way to make eggs.

Looks yummy!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Man, Roger Federer's kids are ridiculously adorable. Two sets of twins.

I feel like there's a joke in there somewhere about the power of his serve but I'm not awake enough yet to make it.

I'm sorry, sarameg. Here's hoping it's over quickly and you heal up rapidly.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Today's google doodle lets you play cricket.

Does it explain how to play? There are wickets, I know that much.
