The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I'm pretty sure Calibre can crack just about anything. Is it a DRM issue?

I think it is? The digital versions of the books have never been made available in the US, and Amazon wouldn't let me purchase them when I was in the UK, because my account was linked to a US address.

I think you'd need Calibre set up to strip copy protection from Kindle files, Jilli, but otherwise, yeah.

I can't remember if I've done that yet. Time to check!

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Well, I found the Kindle problem, and it's not just me. It's also not just the Kindle, but all USB devices, which I hadn't tested yet. Something in the Windows Creator's Update, which is recent, means that using the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the system tray no longer ejects the hardware.

Fortunately, finding the device in an Explorer window, right-clicking, and selecting Eject does work. Go figure.

I'm glad you got a solution.

I'm switching up my routine this weekend. Market, outdoor swim after, neighborhood 90th party and then I'll do my errands &/or clean, depending on beverages consumed. Last load of laundry has to wait until Sunday night. But I leave next sat for Alaska, so I've got to knock as much off as possible. I was going to shop for a small camera (to use as opposed to iPad mini) but don't see that happening now. Anyway, whee. Upstairs is cleaned.

Aw man. Just found out my neighbor's daughter just got her blue belt in krav with a broken finger, and at 18 is one of their youngest instructors. Y'all know what I wish.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Gud, those are cute character drawings.

Seriously, last night I was remembering something that I thought had happened a few months ago, only to realize it was a year and a few months ago.

I think I got so used to attaching my timeline to where I was living when I was moving every 1-2 years during my 20s. I have now been in my current apartment for almost 17 years, so that method doesn't work so well anymore. I can often tie events to what show I was working on, but I'm bad at remembering what season a show happened.

A tangent to that... on Monday a friend and I were trying to place certain disturbing websites into our timelines after seeing a store called Two Girls and a Cupcake.

I have no system of organization for my Kindle. I should work on that.

Part of the joys of vacation is I just scheduled a ticket for SpiderMan at the late show tomorrow night.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I love the drawing , Gud.

On my old kindle I had all my books sorted by categories - and they only showed up in those places - now they show up in two places - in a list and category. so category is not useful. I am guessing I could figure this out, but don't wanna.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I have gone from doing nothing with my online dating profile for two months, to messaging 7 people (only out of shame if I had to face my counselor having done nothing AGAIN). To today, responding to anyone who messaged me in the last week (even if they only message "Hi" which way to go out on a limb there, real effort). Also go through and eliminating people when possible from the various search functions they provide, since they say it will help them find me better matches.

text speak in profile, no. portraying yourself as a hero/knight... - no bad grammar, punctuation, capitalizations - no religious - no conservative - no
