I took the redeye back from SF last night/this morning and now everything is made of gronk.

The oversized hood did make a very good sleep mask, but airplane seats are tiny little torture devices that no clothing can protect against.

Hm. New product opportunity? I am envisioning some sort of hooded caftan that inflates into a comfy mattress at the touch of a button. Would have to be pre-cleared by the TSA I suppose.

Last night's dance practice was at R's house, and as I pulled to park at her curb there was what appeared to be a SWAT team getting ready to swarm over the house next door. I was a little early and normally I would stay in my car for a few minutes listening to my book or whatever so as not to intrude on R too much, but all that body armor made me nervous so I went right in and asked her if she knew what was up. Apparently the house next door was an empty rental and the SWAT team had a deal with the realtor that they could use it for training, and someone had come and knocked on her door beforehand to let her know to minimize the neighbor's freaking out. She hadn't looked out a window before they came to warn her, so she was all calm, but when she did look out she was all "good thing I know what that is because it's scary looking!" Thyey were gone by the time we left, but every member of the troupe freaked out a little as we arrived.
