Well, at least she knows your sister is family? My dad wasn't entirely sure who we were all the time towards the end, but we were familiar faces/voices, and that went a long way. I didn't take it personally, he knew I loved him whoever I was.
I'm sorry, though, Tommy. It's really hard. When you have a chance, you could send a nice card or some flowers to your sister: getting recognition from my siblings helped a LOT. Because that shit is hard.
Um, had all my wisdoms out under local and I know my current dentist does them sometimes in office (though not sure how.) My cats were knocked out for their pulls. Lucky bastards. Cats post druggery was def more entertaining than my own. I just sleep. My cats clearly have psycho entertainment.

Tonight I watched Ant Man because the dog needed something on to hide the noise of the fireworks, and also I caramelized onions for onion soup. Turns out caramelizing isn't so hard if you put the dutch oven over the very lowest setting, and just stir the onions every twenty minutes. Takes a while, but I had a movie to watch, it was fine.
... wow, there are a TON of fireworks going off outside. I had to crate the dog, she was climbing all over me.
I ended up putting some benedryl in peanut butter for the dog. She actually slept through much of the fireworks.
We went to an amazing fireworks show last night, but I couldn't not think about all of the scared dogs and people with PTSD.

Mr. S is still a bit too young to go to fireworks(not to mention it being past his bedtime). We're going to go to friends' house to hang out and grill stuff later this afternoon.
Got my swim in at Druid. Confirmed there is no spf or formulation of sunscreen that will truly last one of my swims. But no burns so far. Am going to attempt a taco. Tooth seems to get worse as day progresses, but I haven't eaten anything yet, so it's pretty calm.
Not to suggest the obvious, sara, but are you taking painkillers in the morning and then not re-upping later in the day? Just checking.
I made it home in time yesterday to go to my uncle and aunt's beach house! So good! Spent the night on the sofa, which was great because/even though I was woken up by the sun rising over the ocean. Sunrise over the ocean is fantastic, sleeping five hours less so.
So now I'm not going to some other friends' cookout tonight so I can go to bed early and back to work tomorrow.
