Willow: Yes. Hi. You must be Angel's handsome, yet androgynous, son. Connor: It's Connor. Willow: And the sneer's genetic. Who knew?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The email doesn't say which parades, just the dates and times.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Hmmm.

I either clenched my teeth last night, have a root canal-ed crown going bad (how?), sinus issues or an earache. All present the same. Hopefully was the first. And I won't do that again and this will go away. Of course, air quality is shit and my sinuses always react to that.

...but I could go get tacos this weekend or the fourth& that'll clear my brains...

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

She makes 19.23 an hour. I need to pay her .5 of an hour at her regular rate and .77 OT. What does that come to?

I read that a little differently than Hil. $9.62 (.5 at regular rate) plus $22.21 (.77 at time-and-a-half). So $31.83.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Gluten free people, does this [link] flourless peanut butter cookie recipe look do-able? I ask because I know gluten can hide in all sorts of wacky places, so I can't promise the safety of it.

Andi, I make that one all the time, but without chocolate chips (because I'm lazy) or without salt (because the first recipe I found for the cookies didn't use salt). It works beautifully, although the dough seems unwieldy when you first mix it, but it eventually behaves. I roll the balls of dough in granulated sugar (although that's not necessary), and then I do the cross-hatching thing with fork tines. They're super yummy.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

That was the way I read it too, Brenda.

Flea, I'm so glad you all are okay!

I got to have dinner with Scola the other night, which, after an all-day migraine, made everything better.

Wah, strawberry season is over! Peach started but the first week is usually disappointing.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, we only just got the first local strawberries last week.

In other news of summer, went to the beach! And am already home again because I was with my mother and that's how she rolls. Pretty sure Tuesday will also be a beach day, and then I'll be by myself.
