this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I haven't slept well for the past three nights, and everything seems to be separated from me by invisible cotton batting.

I also feel that way if I guess wrong and take too much valerian before bedtime. (I can take 1-4 capsules, and if I feel super awake, I take 4, but then the next day I feel all groggy and like my life force has been drained. A smart person would just take 1 and then wait to see if she falls asleep, and if she *doesn't* fall asleep, then take 1 more and wait and see, etc. I am, however, not a smart person.)

I had a dream last night where I knew the weird-ass name of a medication (apixaban), and what it was for (a stroke), but my brain is so melodramatic that it came up with a super cinematic delivery system (in real life, it's a pill; in my dream it was a bright blue liquid delivered via a hypodermic needle with a syringe about as big as a turkey baster).

This had better not be a prophetic dream that I (or anyone I know) am going to have a stroke.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Yay Amy!

Much ~ma for your friend, Matt.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I just arrived at Abel Township.

I really dislike running, but Zombies Run is compelling. The story might just work for me.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

DO NOT LOSE TOUCH WITH YOUR FROG CALLI

If he DMs me I should see an email.

But get some sleep.

From your keyboard to Hypnos's ears.

Yes, Zombies Run looks neat. If I ever get back to the point where I can try running again, I'd like to try this. For walking, podcasts and/or Pokémon keep me going.

I have a stain headache.

And I have no occasion for thigh high stretch purple velvet wedge heeled boots. Nope. Nuh uh. Now if the black was on sale....

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I just arrived at Abel Township.

Welcome to the world of Runner 5, aurelia!

I have grown very attached to some of the characters, although I admit that my inability to distinguish between many British accents means that I'm missing out on a lot of characterization. For instance, I had no idea that Jamie (who you won't meet for a while) was black. But the story is pretty fun, and the structure keeps me engaged.

I definitely recommend you download the Radio Abel files as well: Jack and Eugene are a hoot, and it's a great way to broaden the world-building.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Woo-hoo Runner 5!

Who's your favorite, -t? I admit to a growing fondness for Amelia, because she's so cheerful in her complete amorality.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

My new strategy for dealing with 7AM meetings seems to be insomnia the night before. This is fun.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

A work thing turned into a shitshow at the end of the day yesterday, so of course I had to work through that at several points in the night. Good times.
