I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Cute kitty!

There was a kitty doing a loaf outside the door of the restaurant we went for dinner. He was unafraid, but also uninterested in pets. We decided he belonged to a nearby apartment complex and had figured out that hanging out by a restaurant got him food.

Jesse, your home would be a good one for Caroline. But if you're on the fence, I'd go for fostering. It's not a dilemma I've faced (hah!) though I am considering getting into fostering. Except for the part where my cats lose their minds at each other when one is outside.

I got my city pools summer pass! I might swim at Druid tomorrow. I splurged for the 'Country Club' pass which allows me morning hours and certain events. Not that I do mornings much, but maybe Sundays...and frankly, I'm happy to throw extra money to the pool program. Here's a visual loveletter of a music video shot at the pool: [link] . I actually remember seeing the dudes in their 70s glasses and cameras that day & wondering what was up. The guards were taking up the lap lines around me as I swam. The grey haired guard died last year- he was a sweetheart & soul of the place. I adore my Y pool community, but I like being a part of this one too.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Jesse, yes please. If it's not too much trouble.

ltc's victory in the bath was overshadowed a bit by her total tantrum at bedtime. Poor thing had too much going out and being in the car today and not enough time home just playing with her toys. We have another family gathering tomorrow, which means it will be pretty much the same.

Smonster your doppelgänger is here in the bathroom line at pride with me!

She's not quite as cute as you though

I totally will hope for another tortiemix in my future. Packed with personality ( and I don't normally hold truck with that for cats outside of breeds, but every tortie marked cat I've met has has big personality of various sorts.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What a great video, Sara.

Aw, Ducky.

And I will ask, sj!

I love that I recognize so many of the poolstaff, still. Saw mirrored glasses there today.

I'm quite the homebody. I'm not good at getting out & about beyond my street and work/swim/errands pattern. But there's so much more out there in this city, things I want to support. Discovering Cocina Luchadoras, that was the first time I've been down in upper Fells in ages. It's 4 fucking miles away. There's a new local BBQ place about 8 blocks from me, I need to try that. I just am predisposed to hermit & cheer from afar, which...ehhn.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I had too much tasty tasty sushi, and now I'm waiting for the oven to heat up before I put the peach-blueberry-ginger pie in the oven. For once I got the lattice to work properly without too much angst!
