this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

And I'm impressed with the postal service for delivering them!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

USPS saves the day!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw, way to go, Post Office!

Yay post office!

Art Crawl!!!

Woo hoo post office!

One of the effects of being mostly broke is that I am learning to bake bread. I am using a mostly no-knead recipe and last night made my best ever batch. (The batch before that was my previous best batch - so progress: it is happening.)

This is the recipe I am using - the author now has a book out based on this recipe and somewhere on her blog also has a gluten-free version.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Jesus Christ, somehow between the two of them, Calibre and my Kindle managed to delete all of my collection information. Guess I know what I'm doing for the next hour.

Just the collection info not the actual books, right Dana??

Whew, I am finally landed! Clusterfuck at the Munich airport meant the plane left an hour late...and now we are landed but not allowed to get off yet because customs is backed up?? Ugh. And I'm exhausted. But I've already missed one day of pride! Must rally!

On, no, not the actual books. That would be terrible. I mean, they're all backed up to Dropbox, but still.

Now I have collections showing in the cloud at Amazon that have no name, don't appear on my device, and can't be deleted. Two levels of chat support later, I was told that no one has admin access to delete those collections (bullshit), my six-month-old Kindle is out of warranty (untrue), and that they would be nice to me and sell me a new Kindle at a discounted rate (are you fucking kidding me).

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What a mess, Dana.

What a different mess, meara.

I really don't understand how people live in the south. I just did one errand and approximately one minute of yardwork and I'm so sweaty and unhappy! I guess it would help if my house were airconditioned.
