Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

That's probably a healthier way to think about it.

The way I see it, Republicans without selfishness, greed and rage are Like Ike. I consider myself an Eisenhower Republican. Which is why I vote Dem mostly nowadays. Any of the Rs wanna get back to that, I'll start voting for 'em.

Coding and Sleeping

I've been trying to reduce my cheese consumption and increase my fiber (veggies, oatmeal) until my innards decide they're back in balance.

Start eating a lot of Chinese food. Chinese food is pretty much the only kind of food that cheese does not make better.

Thrive to spite them

My mom's best friend replied to a FB post and said I should check out Mercola. I replied and I tried not to be harsh but I'm kind of fed up with quacks.

My mom's oldest sister is visiting and it's been awesome. She hates Trump as well and is more involved and a fan of Rachel Maddow, who I don't watch enough because Mom runs the tv most nights.

I wish she lived closer, I think it would be good for mom.

I found out my ear pain is probably from acidic reflux and the Dr was really sexist but he still listened to me and took my concerns seriously. So it was even more off-putting when the sexism rolled out.

Last minute HAPPY BIRTHDAY TEPPY!

My face is exploding with painful period cystic zits, i hate everything thanks to hormones, I need to go in to get a new DL next week, the pool is chaotic and Uhg. But it's not my birthday.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I had no idea acid reflux could lead to ear pain, but when I think about it, it does make sense. The human body is fascinating.

Also, THANKS SO MUCH for all the birthday wishes, y'all. You make my life so much better, especially today.

A postcard with birthday greetings may or may not have been mailed to an address on Teppy's street which is totally a transposition of some of the numbers of Teppy's house number. If such a thing were to happen, one would hope that the people in that other hypothetical house a couple of blocks down won't be terribly creeped out by a random postcard for a random birthday to a random person who does not live there. And also if such a thing did happen, another postcard may or may not have been mailed out the next day to what may or may not be the correct address. Perhaps.

Hmmm. If the numbers were transposed (on the first one), the kind neighbor probably won't deliver it to our house (our neighborhood has had problems with mail getting delivered to the wrong house, and then everyone just hand-delivers it), because they won't know what correct house number goes with Beckmeyer. But I'll keep an eye out for what may or may not be another postcard.

Which reminds me -- aurelia, THANKS for the card! It showed up today. I will always love a dog card.

Hypothetically speaking, the first and third numbers were switched, so it is going to the wrong block. Also totally hypothetically, there may possibly have been unfortunately large handwriting for the name, so some initials may have been in use, thereby theoretically obsuring which family it belongs to.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Happy birthday, Teppy! I'm glad to hear the card made it!

Y'all, does it make me a bad person to wish that something would happen to Mitch McConnell?

My fantasy is that he gets swept up in all the investigations and ends up rotting in a federal prison.

This morning on the radio, they played a sound clip of Johnny Depp saying something about John Wilkes Booth and "the last time an actor killed the president,"

45 doesn't go to the theatre, Johnny. You're gonna have to moonlight as a caddy.

What are folks doing this weekend????

Sunday will be my 3rd Krav based self-defense class. This one is combatives, so I'll probably be hitting things. Tomorrow I may see if I can find a quiet spot along the lake to hang out for while.

So, because our neighborhood is weird, the block only goes between 4000 and 6000. No idea why. So if the first and third numbers were transposed, I have no idea where it may have gone. But now I want to know!

My card had the same address error, so you may still get the 1st postcard. I figured as long as the zip was correct there was a decent chance you'd get it.

I didn't even notice! But I just looked at the envelope, and it sure does. How about that!
