Ugh. I'm only going to say this once, because I fully realize how petty it makes me sound: my uncle's funeral is Friday, which is also my birthday. I've had lousy birthdays, but a funeral is a new one. Jesus.

This sounds like an occasion for an "observed" modifier. Teppy Day Observed can be on the first non-funeral day following the actual day. You're like George Washington.
I second DebetEsse's motion.
Wanting a non crappy birthday is not petty.
I agree with Debet. Your birthday is such a special day for you, you need it on a different day!
OH MY GOD VIENNA it is like 100 degrees and I am not exaggerating TURN ON THE AIR CONDITIONING.
I CAN'T EVEN with the anti-vaxxers. I'm sorry, Lisa.
No need to apologize, Tom! I can't with them either. The one person is an actual friend and, while I suspected she was somewhat vaccine dubious, I had no idea she was that bad. I'm shocked and just glad I have super smart friends who can talk sense. The other person I don't really know, she's married to an old friend of my husband's. I thought I had unfriended her a while ago!
In other news, so sorry about your uncle, Steph. One of my dear uncles had been in three ICU since last week. He collapsed after developing an infection after having a stent placed. He's doing relatively well but it is pretty serious. He's having another surgery today on the infection site so good thoughts his way are appreciated.

I agree with the Teppy Day observation, however I have issues with the George Washington thing. I share a birthday with George and it was always a nice day off holiday until nasty politicians messed things up and combined it with Abe on a random day. I still take the day off in protest.

Indeed!
